Important Information About Internet Safety

Have your parents ever told you about the dangers of speaking to strangers? Well the same rules apply when you are on the internet. Follow these common sense rules whenever you are online to ensure that you and your family always remain safe.

1) Never give out personal information that can be used by strangers to find out who you are or how they can contact you. For example, when you are online never tell strangers your real name, where you live or what your email address is.

2) If somebody you don't know tries to contact you online, immediately notify your parents or teacher. Do not respond on your own.

3) If anybody ever sends you material or says something which make you feel uncomfortable, please notify another adult right away. Do not respond on your own.
